Join this popular rock n' roll North-NJ band as they perform classic rock of the 1960s and 1970s. Enjoy the music of the Beatles, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Steve Winwood, Bob Dylan, the Byrds, Rolling Stones, and Creedance Clearwater Revival.

The BRUCE Show Outdoor Concert

Join us after hours at the Glen Rock Public Library for a concert on the library's front lawn (please bring your own lawn chair) with the Mike Fox and Tom Hammer of the Mighty Spectrum Band's 'The BRUCE Show.' Come listen to the Springsteen songs you know and love, and hear them on guitar and piano. Covering some of the unique versions you've heard Bruce do at so many of his concerts over the years, along with some other fan favorites.

Verse & Visuals, The Art of the Poem Reception

For the month of April we are happy to welcome the artwork and poetry of the Arts Council of Glen Rock. ‘Verse & Visuals, The Art of the Poem’ will be on display in The Gallery through April 30th, in celebration of National Poetry Month. Featuring the poetry of Alice Gomstyn, Peter Marcalus, Kay Fialkoff, and Marcia Kaiser. As well as poetry by Glen Rock students Amaani Dharia, Kai Elrom, Olivia Choy, Jake Dreyer and Anjali Gandhi. Local artists were then asked by the Arts Council to submit artwork inspired by the poetry- artwork by Peter Marcalus, Sarah Neydon, Kay Fialkoff, Peter Liman, Kristin Marchesiello, Arlyne Berzak, Vinny Cartiglia, Sydney Mangaroo, Mary Lynch, Soo Kim and Pat Smythe was selected to exhibit.

The Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library and the participating artists will donate 20% of all sales to the Glen Rock Arts Council. Please join the Glen Rock Public Library in celebrating the poets and artists participating in the exhibition at a reception Sunday April 28, 2-4pm. Light, Kosher for Passover refreshments will be served.

The Gallery at the Glen Rock Public Library is supported and sponsored by The Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library.

The 1950s Experience Concert

Join us after hours at the Glen Rock Public Library for Kevin Grace's one-man show "The 1950s Experience."  With his amazing and stylistically spot-on vocals, highly professional musical skills, and visual presentation highly accurate to the era, Kevin is sure to transport the audience right back to that golden era of Doo-Wop harmonies and Rock n' Roll hits!

With over 25 years of classical music performing experience on some of the top stages in the world (Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Kimmel Center, New York City Center, etc.), Kevin shares his one-man show featuring highly accurate and professional covers of Doo-Wop/Rock and Roll/Rat Pack hits from those great artists of the 1950s. All instrumental and vocal backing tracks have been meticulously performed and recorded by Kevin.

Please join us for our New Jersey Makers Day celebration on Saturday, March 16th. NJMD is a state-wide initiative for public libraries to promote STEAM activities and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! This all-ages event will have many fun and interesting projects to explore. Check back soon for more details.

To ensure the best possible experience for everyone, we are offering 45 minute pre-registered timeslots beginning at 10am. Registration opens Thursday, February 15th at 10am.

In this workshop, you will learn the art of drawing letters and create your own hand-lettered artwork. Once you have learned the basics of hand lettering, you can create all year long. Use this fun technique to personalize cards, gift tags, placecards, and even your journal. All materials provided. Support the Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library at their Wine & Craft Beer Tasting fundraising event on Saturday, November 4 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the library. Join us for an evening of wine & craft beer tasting, food, and fun! A silent auction and 50/50 raffle will be held. All event proceeds go to the Friends of the Glen Rock Public Library supporting your library and the many adult, teen, and children’s events throughout the year.

Wine & Craft Beer Tasting

JOIN The Friends of the Library FOR A SPECIAL EVENING SAMPLING FINE WINES AND CRAFT BEERS ACCOMPANIED BY DELICIOUS HORS D'OEUVRES. ALL SUPPORTING THE GLEN ROCK PUBLIC LIBRARY!

The evening promises to be one of fine wines, craft beers, food, and fun which will help raise money for our Library’s many Friends-sponsored children, teen, and adult programs for the coming year.

There will also be a Silent Auction with many exciting gift baskets!

Each wine and craft beer tasting station will be presented by different purveyors arranged for and introduced by: Joel Mitchel, Sommelier of Glen Rock’s very own Beekman Wines and Liquors.

Tickets are $75 per person in advance ($85 at the door) and
you must be 21+ years of age to attend or be admitted to this event.
